SUMMARY Without the strength of our Shipping and Receiving team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we're known for. We're seeking a Shipping and Receiving Helper Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a shipping and Receiving Helper. As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Shipping and Receiving Helper, you will assist as necessary with shipping and receiving personnel with packaging / un-packaging of product, material, and supplies. Perform general clean ups toward maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The S&R helper must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality. The S&R helper shall contribute to product conformity as part to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety. The S&R helper shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Responsible for assisting in the packaging of product for delivery / shipment. Responsible for assisting in the un-packaging of products or supplies. Responsible for general cleaning and maintenance. Must understand how customers' products are impacted in the event of failure. Any other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Must be detail oriented, organized and interact well with Management and staff. Must be able to drive a forklift. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must have direct communication with internal customers. Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements. Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent in work experience. Entry level position. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours. Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs. Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less. Corrective lenses may be worn to fulfill requirements. Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required. Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s). Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: No travel is required for this position.
