Material Handler The Material Handler plays a crucial role in our warehouse operations, performing a variety of general warehouse duties. In serving our global customer base, you will encounter diverse orders that require adaptability and precision. Your tasks will range from picking and pulling kits to inventory control, such as cycle counting and logging items in software. You will also operate tools like pallet jacks and hand-carts to move materials and build crates for international shipments. Responsibilities General warehouse duties: picking, stacking, racking, stocking, boxing, moving, organizing, cleaning, sweeping, and dock work. Inventory management: shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, stocking, tracking, replenishment, labeling, and following work orders. Crating and packing: measuring, cutting, wrapping, insulating, foam wrapping, bubble wrapping, plastic wrapping, packing parts of a kit, and ensuring truck-proof packing. Essential Skills Material handling Inventory management Computer operation and data entry Cycle counting Packing and packaging Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ years of warehousing experience Experience with inventory control and cycle counting Proficiency in using computer software systems for basic transactions Comfortable operating a sit-down forklift Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
