Job DescriptionPosition Title: Assembler Wage: $16.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Assembler position at a company in Rockford, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate assembly equipment according to specifications. - Assemble hydraulic and related components accurately and efficiently. - Test completed assemblies to ensure quality and functionality. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. - Follow all safety procedures and company policies. - Support team productivity and continuous improvement initiatives. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. - Set up jobs and equipment for production runs. - Assemble hydraulic units by hand and with power tools. - Test assemblies to verify performance and quality standards. - Pick, wash, and prepare parts for assembly. - Package and/or carton finished products for shipment. - Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required. - Work collaboratively in a team-based production environment. Assembler Requirements: - Strong attendance record - Ability to set up jobs and equipment independently. - Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints. - Ability to meet production and quality standards. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Must be able to stand for long periods of time. - Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift. - Must be able to bend, twist, reach, kneel, and stoop regularly. - Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements.
