The ideal candidate will be flexible in adapting to different workstations and assembly lines, assembling mechanical support assemblies to precise specifications, and identifying all necessary parts for assembly.Responsibilities Perform all functions, except welding, in assigned department. Flex to other work stations and assembly lines as needed. Assemble mechanical support assemblies to specifications. Identify and assemble all necessary parts. Practice and sustain 5S methods. Understand material ordering systems. Apply proper sealing procedures for all products. Recognize motor sizes and read data plates. Conduct plumbing and electrical work on units. Work safely from ladders up to 20 feet in height. Familiarize with knock-down packing and crating. Install special accessories on units and understand their function. Follow appropriate procedures, policies, and instructions of ISO for quality assurance. Mentor and drive LEAN principles in the area. Develop methods to improve safety performance and address safety issues. Contribute to achieving departmental safety goals. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Essential Skills General knowledge in the construction of related equipment. Initiative and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a team environment. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Strong communication skills. Ability to work professionally with representatives, customers, and co-workers. Understanding of bill of material. Working knowledge of computers, including ManMan and PPD systems. Ability to use simple math and basic hand-held measuring tools. Ability to adapt quickly to change. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfortable with using hand tools, power tools, and air tools. Ability to read blueprints and a tape measure. Mechanically inclined. Construction or mechanical in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
