Forklift Operator We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to efficiently manage the loading and unloading of freight to and from vehicles and containers. Your role will involve sorting freight according to size and destination, reading and decoding freight coding to expedite movement and tracing processes, and reconciling driver pick-up and delivery manifests. You will also be responsible for labeling, weighing, and dimensionalizing freight while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Additionally, you will record any damaged shipments and misrouted freight in applicable reports. Responsibilities Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers. Sort freight according to size and destination. Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite freight movement and tracing. Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests. Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight. Perform cleanup activities to ensure a safe and clean dock environment. Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports. Essential Skills Proficient in operating a forklift. Experience in material handling and inventory management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certification as a Forklift Operator. Job Type & Location This is a contract position based out of Independence, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
