Job Description

CDL Driver II The CDL Driver II will operate roll-off trucks and tankers to transport non-hazardous waste from the Dolton facility to designated landfills and customer locations within a 100200-mile radius. This is a home-daily position focused on regional waste hauling. Primary Responsibilities Safely operate roll-off trucks and tankers to haul waste between the Dolton facility, landfill locations, and Cook County customer sites in accordance with DOT and company safety requirements. Perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment remains in safe operating condition. Transport materials on routes generally under 50 miles, with occasional longer trips up to 100150 miles as needed. Follow all routing, scheduling, and dispatch instructions and maintain clear communication regarding delays or adjustments. Additional Responsibilities Complete transportation documentation such as manifests, bills of lading, logs, and inspection reports. Maintain proper placarding and adhere to DOT requirements related to waste transport. Uphold site and company safety standards and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be 21 years or older. Valid CDL Class A license. Minimum two years of Class A tractor-trailer experience with tanker or waste-hauling background. Roll-off experience required. Acceptable driving record under company and DOT standards. No transmission restriction preferred; automatic-only drivers still acceptable. Ability to meet the listed start time requirements. Preferred Qualifications Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required. Experience in landfill, waste removal, wastewater, or related waste industry work. Shift Details Home daily Start time between 4:00am and 5:00am Physical Demands Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, and work at heights or in confined spaces. Ability to push, pull, grip, reach, and lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in various weather conditions with adequate vision and hearing for safe operation. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $52,200.00 - $69,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
