License: Must hold a valid state radiologic license, pending acceptance. Certifications: ARRT or current equivalent certification, BLS Certification. Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited radiography program, Level I or Level II trauma experience. Description: Travelers' permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible to apply. The Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures. Roles include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during procedures. Knowledge of various imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, computed tomography, and ultrasound is essential. Common procedures performed include abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, and EVARs. Ability to operate fluoroscopy and C-arm equipment is required. The department averages 20 patients per day. Surgical scrubs are provided. The team consists of a 2:1 ratio of Radiologic Technologists to registered nurses. Charting is performed electronically. The facility has two endovascular suites and open procedure operating rooms. Specialized equipment includes various imaging and reporting software applications.
