Warehouse Associate (Temp-to-Hire)Location: Hauppauge, NY Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay: $20-$22 per hour Type: Temp-to-Hire Overview A distribution company in Hauppauge is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to join their team. This role involves material handling, order processing, and general warehouse support. The ideal candidate has forklift experience (certified or able to become certified) and basic computer skills. Industry experience is not required, but a background in warehouse or production environments is helpful. Responsibilities Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred; training available for experienced operators) Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment Use basic computer systems for inventory lookups and shipping tasks Assist with UPS WorldShip or similar shipping software (experience a plus) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Support general warehouse tasks as needed Requirements Forklift certification or prior forklift experience with willingness to get certified Basic computer proficiency Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the day Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Prior warehouse experience preferred Industry experience (HVAC, distribution, etc.) is a plus but not required Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00
