Coverage Needed Start Date: ASAP End Date: October 2026 Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM) Shift coverage may include weekends and nights as scheduled Clinical Details Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Trauma Level: Level II EMR: Cerner Support Staff: Supervising physician present 24/7; APP will not work autonomously Required Procedures/Responsibilities: Trauma alerts and surgical consultations Admitting, rounding, and OR support for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Facilitating discharges, ER admissions, and house codes/rapid response team Insertion of: Ventilation management, Chest Tube, Central Line, Arterial Line, PICC Line Minor laceration suturing Non-invasive ventilatory support (BiPAP/CPAP) Requirements PA or NP with RNFA Active New Jersey State License BLS, ACLS, and ATLS or ATCN Certifications Experience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Proficiency in Trauma Alerts, OR Support, Inpatient Rounding, and ER Admissions Experience with Ventilation Management, Chest Tube, Central Line, Arterial Line, PICC Line, Non-Invasive Vent Management (BiPAP/CPAP), and Minor Laceration Suturing Experience Responding to ED for Trauma Alerts and Surgical Consultations Experience with Cerner EMR - Preferred Self-Query NPDB (should be pulled within 30 days)
