Facility in Rockford, IL seeking Neurosurgery APP locums coverage Medical Center in Rockford, IL is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for inpatient Neurosurgery coverage due to a turnover vacancy. This is a collaborative hospital-based role with no call responsibilities. Compensation Hourly rate: $180/hour Holiday rate multiplier: 1.5x Position Details Specialty: Neurosurgery Role: NP or PA Practice Setting: Primarily inpatient, with occasional outpatient clinic support Location: Rockford, IL Start Date: April 6, 2026 Coverage Type: Full-time or Part-time locum tenens Estimated Shifts per Month: Approximately 15 Schedule Monday Friday 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM No call required Practice Environment Collaborate with: 2 Neurosurgeons 1 additional APP Shared inpatient census of approximately patients 100% adult patient population Physician support onsite; APP will not work solo EMR: Epic Clinical Responsibilities Round on neurosurgery inpatients Perform patient assessments and documentation Assist with care coordination and discharge planning Provide outpatient clinic support as needed Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons and interdisciplinary care teams Credentialing Privileges available: Full and Temporary Estimated credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days Temporary privileges possible for candidates with a clean file Licensure & Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible NP or PA required Active Illinois license required DEA required CSR license required BLS and ACLS required Minimum 1 year of experience required Travel & Lodging Travel reimbursement includes airfare, lodging, rental car, mileage, parking, and fuel Airfare must be standard economy with one checked bag Lodging capped at $150 per night before taxes and fees; no incidentals permitted Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates Seasonal rental car caps apply About WhiteCoat Locums: - Physician owned and led agency - Highest-Pay rates on the market - $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail - 100% transparent
