Director Employee Health ServicesShifts : Monday to Friday no weekends 8AM to 4.30 PM Engagement: 13-week temporary assignment with potential extension beyond the summerOverviewThe Director of Employee Health Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the department. This role is responsible for driving departmental goals, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant, and high-quality employee health services.Key ResponsibilitiesChampion and uphold BHMC s core values of Respect, Dignity, and IntegritySupervise pre-employment medical processes, including physical exams, drug screenings, and immunization compliance (MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD, etc.)Develop and manage the annual operating budget, ensuring adherence to financial targetsPrepare, analyze, and distribute departmental metrics and reportsCollaborate with the Benefits team to manage employee clearances related to leaves of absenceOversee compliance for annual health assessments and flu vaccination programs, providing monthly reports to leadershipPartner with the Safety department to identify and address employee health and workplace safety concernsImplement process improvements to enhance department efficiency and turnaround timesOversee employee immunization programs, including assessment, administration, and complianceEnsure adherence to institutional policies and regulatory requirements for medical clearances, referrals, and employee health servicesCommunicate departmental strategy, goals, and performance expectations to staffReview diagnostic results (including chest X-rays) and provide final medical clearance for new hiresManage staff workflows related to employee onboarding, lab scheduling, and results trackingLead performance management processes, including evaluations, coaching, recognition, and corrective actions in collaboration with HRFacilitate effective communication through meetings, one-on-ones, and regular updatesOversee and promote employee wellness programsPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsEducationBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferredGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner programExperienceMinimum 5 years of nursing experience in an Employee Health settingMinimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse PractitionerKnowledge & SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with Epic (preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skillsUp-to-date knowledge of clinical standards, best practices, and industry trendsDemonstrated commitment to excellent customer service aligned with organizational mission and valuesLicenses & CertificationsCurrent Nurse Practitioner certification in relevant specialtyActive APRN licensureCNOR/CRNFA certification (if applicable)Current BLS and ACLS certificationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in both clinical and office environmentsRequires prolonged standing, walking, and reachingMust be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 lbs DirectShifts is an Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
