1st Shift Maintenance Scheduler - Up to $45/hr!Job DescriptionJoin our maintenance department as a Maintenance Scheduler. We are committed to expanding our team and transitioning our current Maintenance Scheduler into more of a planning role. This position primarily involves maintenance and production scheduling and planning, utilizing our SAP system. You will have the opportunity to train under the current scheduler to ensure a smooth transition.Responsibilities Establish, maintain, and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process. Capture and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment reliability. Improve planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management, and job reporting systems for increased planning effectiveness and efficiency. Plan the full extent of maintenance work needed for repair, preventive, predictive, and design-out activities on plant and equipment. Plan all labor needs for scheduled preventive maintenance work to ensure safe and timely completion. Comply with all company safety standards and rules, ensuring all workers do the same. Ensure plant and equipment run properly and correct equipment and machines when necessary. Manage work orders daily and maintain files of completed work orders for a two-year period. Schedule and plan maintenance work into a maintenance plan. Create and display a daily maintenance plan for all departments. Compile KPIs and daily maintenance plan into a daily maintenance report. Use maintenance plan to create a weekly maintenance plan. Compile KPIs and weekly maintenance plan into a weekly maintenance report. Maintain a master schedule of all required maintenance on a yearly basis. Schedule maintenance work in conjunction with production planning. Purchase parts, equipment, services, and documentation needed ahead of scheduled planned work. Write maintenance procedures that promote defect-free work quality. Maintain and update preventative maintenance work orders and procedures in the work order system. Ensure all preventative maintenance needed for equipment is entered into the work order system. Track equipment maintenance history, job records, and technical information on processes, plant, and equipment in the work order system. Apply good stores management practices to ensure parts and equipment retain full reliability. Participate in projects and preventive maintenance as needed. Essential Skills Proficiency in SAP is a must. Experience in manufacturing maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical maintenance, and control circuits. Strong understanding of maintenance and production scheduling, buying, purchasing, ensuring KPIs, and tracking/scheduling preventive maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in high-end electrical, schedule planning, project planning, preventive maintenance, operation, and materials management is a plus. Sound understanding of equipment reliability concepts. Appreciation of quality management methods and practices related to plant and equipment reliability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Knowledge of computerized drafting skills preferred. Ability to work productively in a team environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
