This role counts, labels, assembles, bags, and boxes a variety of items into final product packaging, performs basic visual inspections, and reports any product or equipment issues or quantity/quality discrepancies to supervisors. The Packaging Support team member also helps keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, and works collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities Packaging product inventory in an efficient and effective manner Count, label, and assemble a variety of items into a final packaged product. Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area for yourself and other employees Perform basic visual quality inspections on products Maintain high-quality standards during shifts including constant QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced Ability to work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency Report any product or production equipment that appears damaged, spoiled, broken, unusable, or unsatisfactory in any way to supervisors Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least 6 months of related experience and/or training in a production or packaging environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency, preferably in a fast-paced work environment Computer Skills: Microsoft suite (core applications), Google, Slack, experience in Jira and/or other management platforms and software preferred Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written Math Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required between buildings and sites Ability to maintain and manage confidential information Provincial regulations require all applicants must be 19 years of age or older ServSafe, Food Handlers or FOODSAFE Level 1 card preferred Will be required to submit to a background check Must obtain all applicable government-required permits, licenses, and certifications Benefits You'll receive a hourly rate of $20.75 - $25.50/hr.
