About This Position: This role is responsible for administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence policies. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, handling employee inquiries, and processing necessary paperwork for enrollments, changes, and leaves. Summary of Duties What You'll Do: Benefits * Administer all benefit plans including group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, flexible spending plans, pension and retirement plans. * Help employees with any questions on benefit programs. * Assist with the reconciliation of all benefit billings and coordinate with Accounts Payable. * Assist with the open enrollment benefit processes. * Coordinates and administers all leaves (FMLA; Disability; etc). * Assist employees with documentation needed for retirement, loans, accessing or changing benefits. * Assist with COBRA administration for terminated employees. * Participate in wellness initiatives and promoting employee well-being. * Assist with Tuition Waivers and Tuition Reimbursement. Leaves * Respond to employee inquiries regarding leave policies, and provide guidance. * Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee benefits and leave information. * Administer leaves of absence under various laws including FMLA, ADA, and state and local regulations. * Determine leave eligibility, processing requests, and managing required documentation. * Coordinate with employees, managers, and healthcare providers throughout the leave process. * Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies regarding leaves of absence. Qualifications What You'll Need: Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. * SHRM-CP and/or CEBS professional designations is preferred. * Three (3) years of benefits administration experience. * Strong knowledge of leave of absence regulations (FMLA, ADA). * Some knowledge of filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, COBRA, workers' compensation, ACA, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements. * Experience administering New Jersey State School Employees medical and pension benefits a plus. * Familiarity with coordinating Health Fairs and other employee engagement events (Preferred). Competencies and Skills * Strong analytical and organizational skills. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Creative and Innovative with strong communication skills. * Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Thorough knowledge of plan designs.
