Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.Job SummarySt Peter Catholic Church, St Charles is seeking a faith-filled, talented, and reliable Substitute Organist/Accompanist to provide musical support for liturgies and rehearsals as needed. The ideal candidate has experience playing for Catholic worship, a strong sense of musicality, and the ability to support congregational singing and enhance the prayerful atmosphere of the Mass. Job ResponsibilitiesServe as organist/accompanist for weekend Masses and other liturgical celebrations as needed.Accompany choir rehearsals, cantor practices, or special music events when requested.Collaborate with the music director, cantors, and parish staff to ensure seamless liturgical music planning.Maintain a prayerful and reverent approach to all liturgical music.Adapt music selections as needed and provide accompaniment for hymns, psalms, and liturgical responses.Job RequirementsProficiency in organ and/or piano performance (required)Experience accompanying choirs, cantors, or liturgical ensembles preferredFamiliarity with Catholic liturgy and hymnody requiredDependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing schedulesPracticing Catholic preferredThe Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
