If you're passionate about making a difference and growing in your career, DCS is the place for you.JOB SUMMARY: Assists lead DTV teacher with hands-on instruction in television broadcasting resulting in measurable student growth and mastery of industry-standard competencies. This position will manage a high-definition studio environment, overseeing the student production of daily live newscasts including script writing, technical direction, editing, and content creation as well as live broadcast productions of concerts and sporting events.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have a bachelor's degree in broadcast or media arts related field.Possess, or able to acquire, a valid Standard Michigan Teacher Certificate with CTE endorsement in the area of Radio and Television Broadcast Technology (10.0202) preferred.Experience in live broadcast control room operations.Experience with Ross equipment and Dante systems preferred.REQUIREMENTS:Ability to manage a high-definition television studio environment.Assist with managing the 24-hour DTV channel on Cablecast and Charter channel 191.Assist with DTV's socials, including live streams.Must be flexible with daily scheduling of time. This position includes regularly scheduled evenings and some weekends to support and broadcast district events such as school performances and sporting events.Assist with providing high-quality instruction in the subject area and work effectively with high school and middle school aged students.Ability to help students connect with career opportunities in the subject area.Be an excellent communicator with parents, students, and colleagues.Embrace the District Vision Statement as well as DTV's branding and reputation.Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position.The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.Perform other duties as assigned.
