Job Summary:Under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing custodial duties for medical facilities on campus. Quality customer service will be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essentialEssential Functions: Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:General CleaningDust horizontal/vertical furniture, stair rails & ventsClean & Sanitize office furniture, desktops, cabinetsClean & Sanitize sinks, countertops, cabinets & appliances in breakrooms & KitchenettesRestock dispensersClean WallsClean windowsills & windowsRemove trash/recycling & replace linersVacuuming, sweeping, & mopping of floors & stairsClean & Sanitize Restrooms & Locker roomsDust horizontal/vertical, lockers, stalls, ventsClean & Sanitize sinks, countertops, stalls, showers, toilets & urinalsClean MirrorsRestock dispensersRemove trash & replace linersSweep & mop floorsClean DrainsOther tasksAttend to emergency calls when necessaryLock & Unlock Interior & exterior doorsReplacing lights using an 8-foot ladderUsing an 8-foot ladder and/or hydraulic lift for general cleaning of high areasClean & Sanitize Drinking fountainsMoving furniture, supplies & equipment to complete cleaning functionsAlways Wearing Proper Protection EquipmentRefinishing floors using chemical stripper, wax & various equipmentCarpet & Upholstery Cleaning using carpet extractors & chemical pre-sprayExterior Window cleaning using various cleaning equipmentAssist with Set up & Tear down for special eventsMoving & Stacking furnitureMaintain Custodial AreasProperly Operate, Maintain & Store various cleaning equipment for floor care & general cleaningStock & Restock Custodial closets & Bulk storage areasProper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicalsMaintain Custodial closets/areas in a clean, organized and safe mannerSnow removal from entrances, steps & sidewalks within 15 feet of a building using shovel/snow blower & dispersing salt.
