Job Title: Mainframe CICS Engineer (REMOTE) 12 months contract Role Overview: Join our Enterprise Z team as a Mainframe CICS Engineer. You will be responsible for the engineering, maintenance, and operational support of our large-scale CICSPlex environment. This role involves ensuring platform resilience, performance tuning, and providing 24x7 support. Key Responsibilities: - Perform CICS systems programming, software upgrades, and maintenance using SMP/E. - Tune CICS regions and analyze performance using CICS Performance Analyzer and monitoring tools (e.g., Sysview for CICS). - Manage CICSPlex SM, dynamic transaction routing, and resource definitions. - Provide problem determination, dump analysis, and performance debugging. - Support application developers and collaborate with operations teams. - Participate in on-call rotations for issue resolution. Required Skills: - Expertise in CICS performance tuning, parameters, and SMF record structures. - Hands-on experience with CICSPlex SM, WebSphere MQ, and CICS monitoring tools. - Proficiency in problem determination, dump analysis, and COBOL. - Strong knowledge of SMP/E and software maintenance. - Excellent communication and analytical skills.
