Description We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the organization's financial operations by ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with analysis to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation, reporting, and analytical skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Perform monthly reconciliations for income statement and balance sheet accounts, including general ledger and sub-ledger tie-outs, job cost adjustments, and bank reconciliations. - Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. - Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders. - Review financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. - Support the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. - Analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide insight into financial performance. - Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support the implementation of best practices. - Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed to support business initiatives. Requirements - Proven experience in property accounting. - Proficiency in Yardi software for property management and accounting processes. - Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and accrual accounting. - Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliation. - Ability to analyze and interpret financial data with a high degree of accuracy. - Strong communication skills. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
