As a Retail & Games Supervisor, your role is critical in ensuring that the guest experience exceeds standards. This is achieved by keeping the retail areas clean, stocked, safe, and filled with infectious cheer.We are currently looking for a:Splish Splash Retail & Games SupervisorRoles & Responsibilities:Supervisory Duties:Supervise the daily operations of the Retail and Games team and any other assigned departmentsLead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Splish Splash's core valuesAct as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team membersBecome knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all retail and games positions and backfill these positions when neededParticipate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with New York lawAssist with team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesDepartmental Duties:Welcome and greet all guests as they enter retail locationsConduct opening and closing procedures of assigned unit(s) including food preparation and cleanup.Manage inventory levels by completing daily stocking of all gift shops, checking orders, and moving inventory between shopsEnsure a variety of items are available for guests to purchase and that store shelves are fully stockedProactively communicate inventory needs to leadership before items are sold outCollaborate with Retail Manager to merchandise stores and improve product salesEnsure employees are adhering to departmental and company policies (theft of merchandise/counterfeit training/etc.)Monitor cashier activities to ensure continuous accuracy and compliance with POS procedures.Ensure merchandise is well stocked and organizedMaximize unit visual merchandising standards.Maintain cleanliness of store areas including exteriors.Manage inventory, focusing on stock par levels, shrink and waste controls.Be on alert for possible theftReport maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor or manager in a timely mannerAll other duties as assigned by leadershipSkill Game and Arcade Roles & Responsibilities:Retail Supervisors at certain locations are also responsible for assuming additional skill game and arcade duties. For these team members, the additional roles and responsibilities may include:Crosstrain in the supervision of the Arcade and Skill Game areasMaintain game area in a neat, organized, and clean mannerEnsure that game area remains properly stockedResolve and/or escalate guest complaints to the proper management authorityLook for opportunities to improve efficiencies and cost savings for the gaming operationPromptly escalates maintenance or customer complaints to the proper authoritiesEducation & Experience:No education requirements for this position1+ years of previous retail, arcade, or point of sale work experience preferredLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent EnglishSpanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with NY Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to work flexible hours that extend beyond 9am to 5pmAbility to comply with all uniform policiesValid driver's license with a good driving recordAbility to operate various motorized vehicles, including trucks, golf carts, forklifts, etc.Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfactionMust be able to speak with guests directly when other retail leadership is not presentAbility to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skillsMust possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesPrevious experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plusAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to use a step ladder in a safe and proper mannerAbility to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer or POS equipmentAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 pounds or moreWorking Conditions:This role will be based in one or more retail locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environmentsSubject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activitiesFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditionsSome exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agentsTeam member benefits:Working at Splish Splash is about making people happy!
