Job SummaryBridge Academy is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a School Secretary. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school's administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing exceptional support to students, staff, and parents.Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students, providing a welcoming and professional environment.- Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate staff members as needed.- Maintain and organize student records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with school policies.- Support the administration in managing office supplies, equipment, and inventory, placing orders as necessary.- Assist with enrollment and registration processes, providing information to prospective students and families.- Maintain the school's calendar, ensuring all events and deadlines are accurately recorded and communicated.- Process and manage student attendance records and reports, addressing any discrepancies in a timely manner.- Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate effective communication and support the overall functioning of the school.- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, data entry, and document preparation.Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration is a plus.- Proven experience in a secretarial or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with school management software is preferred.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands in a dynamic school setting.This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment "at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.All recommendations for hire are tentative offers.
