Position Description:This position will work with multiple department leaders and teams to understand and learn the day-to-day operations of our business in preparation for stepping into a future position with Steel and Pipe Supply. Our ideal candidate will have a track record of team leadership, excellent critical thinking skills, and an adaptable mindset.Please note: This position should be open to travel & possible relocation opportunities if they present themselves. This position is designed to build leaders within our organization as we continue to grow our business in both existing and new markets across the country.Primary Responsibilities:This position will hold a designated time period (30-60 days) of general company training. From there, rotations will be assigned & designated with a timeline to assist in learning every aspect of the business to include Sales, Purchasing, Accounting/Finance, Transportation, Leadership/Management.Physical & Work Requirements:Ensure professional appearance appropriate for meetings with executive level employees and clientsRequires ability to perform primary job responsibilities while spending long periods of time at a computerSome travel (6-8 times / year) to mill, customer, and SPS operational locations to include:Kansas City, KSSt. Louis, MOTulsa, OKLongview, Waco, Lubbock, Houston, & Victoria, TXRequired Background, Competencies & Expertise:Growth Mindset - Treat challenges as opportunities and mistakes as data points rather than catastrophic events.
