This role ensures a safe and efficient workplace while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and food safety practices. Key Responsibilities * Operate forklifts and transport equipment to move bins, fruit, packed product, and supplies * Load/unload incoming and outgoing trucks, including grower shipments * Prepare delivery receipts, shipping documents, and airway bills as needed * Inspect and perform minor repairs/adjustments on equipment * Assist with repairs and servicing of equipment * Maintain clean and safe work areas, following all safety and food safety procedures * Support utility crew operations, including repair/maintenance of treatment bins Qualifications * High school diploma preferred (not required) * One year of forklift driving experience required * Previous experience in food handling or a manufacturing environment preferred * Ability to read and follow instructions (written and oral) * Strong teamwork, dependability, and adaptability * Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold/hot environments Work Environment & Requirements * PPE (hair net, smock, sleeves, long pants, non-slip footwear) required * Exposure to cold or hot environments and moving machinery * Must adhere to Calavo's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) * Responsible for food safety and security awareness in daily duties Per Union Agreement
