This position will be given exposure into multiple manufacturing areas and will cross train for multiple skill sets. This opening, for example, will offer training in our Shapes Machine to Forklift Driving. At Allura, we have a culture of promoting from within whenever possible. Positions start from $18.00 p/hour to $21.00 p/hour depending on experience and increase with responsibility with higher payrates. Night shift employees have an $1.00/hour shift differential added to their payrate. Overtime is currently offered.Job OverviewResponsible for the operation of the Prefinish Paint Line, Shapes, or other production work center for our Fiber Cement Siding products.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Will eventually learn all positions for the line or work centerAssists with troubleshooting line and production problems as neededResponsible for keeping all paint tanks full as neededMix and test paint to correct thicknessMake sure product is getting the correct amount of paintMake adjustments to the equipment as necessary for the different products to keep the line running smoothlyAdjust oven temperatures as necessaryChange paint filters when neededPerforms other duties as necessary such as routine preventative maintenance activities and clean-upResponsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping of work areaWeekend work and mandatory overtime may be required to meet production requirementsAbility to work assigned work rotationFlexibility to adjust schedule in support of Production changesAbility to work under pressureAbility to meet production levelsResponsible for observing all plant standard operating procedures and safety policiesResponsible for teamwork communication with production operators and supervisorsMust wear appropriate PPE at all times (hardhat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and ear plugs required at all times; additional PPE may be required depending on tasks)Participate in training programs to enhance environmental and safety performancePerform assigned tasks as specified in the environmental procedures and work instructionsUnderstand the significant environmental impacts of my job activities and the consequences of departing from specified work instructionsMust have initiative and exhibit good judgmentMust perform with safe work practices at all timesMust consult and problem-solve area with coworkersFamiliarity with computersKNOWLEDGE:High school diploma or GED requiredMust possess well-developed observation skills
