**About Us** We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast. **Job Summary** Southern Industrial Constructors seeks Maintenance Mechanic for an on-going site in the West Jefferson, NC area. This is a third shift position : 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months. **/#SIC** **/#LI On-Site** **/#LI-VB1** **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Perform Daily PM's as scheduled for equipment at the site. + Repair and maintain equipment in accordance with OEM specifications. This includes machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, ballscrews and PLC's for production equipment. + Ability to diagnose and make repairs on variety of plant equipment and systems. + Diagnose equipment failure and institute action to return equipment to normal operations. + Knowledge of electrical controls and power distribution. + Knowledge of compressed air, HVAC, and domestic water systems. + Maintain records and logs as needed. + Knowledge of safety standards and precautions for plant maintenance and repair work. + Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC. + Observe SIC/Client Safety processes and procedures at all times. + Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment. + Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager. **Qualifications** 2-year degree in Electrical/Machine Technology or Similar Technology Degree plus 5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician Or 10 Plus years' experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
