Teach instructors to use instructional technology and to integrate technology with teaching. Adapt instructional content or delivery methods for different levels or types of learners. Conduct needs assessments, surveys, and strategic learning assessments to propose curriculum development/updates to management. Design instructional aids for stand-alone or instructor-led classroom or online use. Design learning products, including web-based aids or electronic performance support systems. Develop instruction or training roadmaps for online, blended, and in-person learning programs. Monitor efficacy of training programs to develop and propose modifications for continuous improvement. Perform required functions of HRMIS Session Coordinator; facilitate training class enrollments, class attendance, rosters, and cancellations as well as monitor waitlists. Coordinate scheduling of internal subject matter experts and guest speakers to deliver training. Compile, organize and verify appropriate files, notes, handouts and other materials are in order and ready for use at meetings, training classes, etc. Coordinate guest speakers and presenters for annual SPC training schedule, including Technical Training Week sessions: Facilitate planning sessions to identify training topics and instructors. Assist with creation of the annual SPC training schedule and individual class schedules. Verify training materials are prepped, printed (as needed) and ready. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify lab locations. Manage SharePoint sites for tracking Technical Training and the SPC Engineer Development program, repositories, calendars, workspaces, and tracking lists. Provide expertise and support/assistance to the SPC Engineer Development program: Receive submitted lessons directly from the enrolled engineers and perform or facilitate grading based on predefined answer keys and/or review and correction of lessons based on utility expertise and experience. Develop / run reports and maintain incidental records associated with the Engineer Development program within applicable BPA system, site, or database. (Report structure to be specified in conjunction with TEZP staff.) Provide feedback/recommendations on the program's academic performance. This should include identification of any areas of potential deficiency in training materials. Review and recommend edits and revisions to documents and training materials as needed to update and maintain a current and successful training program. Keep the SPC Engineer Development Program Coordination Committee and the SPC Engineer Development Program Steering Committee apprised of recommended/needed changes to material and progress of students through the SPC Engineer Development Program. Provide expertise and support/assistance to the SPC Technical Training program: Coordinate with technical SME's to develop and test training material. Schedule and track classes to be offered; monitor enrollment, audit prerequisites, maintain course descriptions, and work with technical SMEs to manage unique situations. Provide in-room assistance during training sessions such as, safety briefings, attendance, and student surveys to continue improving the program. Schedule and arrange meetings, check-ins, conferences and training, including associated logistics and any necessary equipment (securing rooms, phone bridges, web-based technology [e.g., Skype, Webex, etc.], projection equipment, etc.). Maintain filing system(s), files, emails and records in accordance with compliance requirements. File and disperse documents/letters only to appropriate personnel. Maintain all official records in accordance with the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures. Validate official records are accurately maintained for auditing purposes. REQUIREMENTS Education & Corresponding Experience (required on matrix) Bachelor's Degree in Educational Design, Education Training and Development, Technical Training, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Design and Technology, or a related field is preferred. 6 months of experience is required. Candidates for these positions may require work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training in the field they are providing training in. Required Technical Skills & Experience (required on matrix) Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. Advanced SharePoint skills or similar program, sufficient to: create and manage repositories, calendars, workspaces, and tracking lists. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and tracking of records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Preferred Skills & Experience (optional on matrix) Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media. Experience providing technical training or running a technical training program that supports transmission system or electrical equipment.
