In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty off-road construction equipment, with opportunities for career growth into a Lead Mechanic or Maintenance Manager.Pay: Starting at $30 - $40/ per hourWeekends and Night ShiftsBenefits:Competitive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, and Prescription coverage401(K) with a 3% employer contributionLong-term and Short-term DisabilityYear-round, non-weather dependent employmentTuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programsStudent Loan Repayment ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramResponsibilities: As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your key duties will include:Adhering to all safety regulations, policies, and maintaining proper recordsDismantling and reassembling trucks, machines, and equipment to access and diagnose issuesMaintaining a clean and safe work area to allow safe movement and equipment accessInspecting machines visually and audibly to identify malfunctionsReading schematics and utilizing diagnostic software to troubleshoot and resolve issuesPerforming welding, cutting, and fabrication on equipment and componentsMeeting and exceeding customer service expectationsSkills & Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExpertise in off-road heavy equipment and its systemsKnowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, electrical systems, drivelines, steering mechanisms, and suspensionsExperience with Tier IV Emissions systemsPhysical ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb, or crawl under or on top of equipmentSkill in manipulating components in hard-to-reach areas using hands and toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsValid Driver's LicenseA willingness to take on additional duties as needed
