ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a Design, RTW (Wovens) Intern to join the KHAITE team for this Summer Semester. This role will be based out of the NYC HQ offices and will support a variety of creative and administrative duties and tasks to provide day-to-day support to our RTW Design team. This internship is unpaid and for college credit only.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide design-related support for samples, sketches, research and tech-packsAssemble & maintain sketch boards, research packets, and organize samplesCoordinate with the Design team on daily needsWork with Design team to prepare for meetings, including pulling and organizing fabrics, prints, and samplesResearch and stay up to date with industry trends and techniques related to the RTW/Wovens category and garment construction Participate in fittings to evaluate fit and overall designsSupport the RTW/Wovens Design team throughout all stages of the design processAssist with compiling seasonal design packets by creating CADs and helping with sketch updatesSKILLS & REQUIREMENTSInterpersonal Skills:Highly organized with excellent attention to detail & the ability to manage multiple projectsStrong communication (written & verbal) & collaboration skillsEducation/Experience:Currently enrolled for a Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Technical Design, or a related fieldBasic knowledge of garment construction and design; with a particular interest in woven materialsProficiency in PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft ExcelProficiency in RLM is a plus.Please note: This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
