Senior Electrical Engineer | Jacksonville, FLIMEG is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer in Jacksonville, FL, to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for moderate to complex projects. In this role, you'll provide project direction, engineering solutions, and advice to clients-overseeing engineering analysis, design, and implementation of building electrical systems to support positive outcomes. You'll also help manage budgets, mentor and train team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.Principal ResponsibilitiesCoordinate, oversee and manage projects ranging in size and complexityAssist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work and fee calculations for proposal generation as well as with contract reviewsCreate project schedules including targets for milestones and deadlinesServe as the point of contact for teams and clientsCreate monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting in a timely mannerUpdate billing projections and estimated completion percentage for all projects monthlyEnsure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards and code requirementsEnsure design milestone deliverables are achieved, IMEG and client quality control processes are completed, and construction technical support occurs in a timely mannerCollaborate with design staff and coordinate scheduling of projects during all phases of design and constructionSchedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentationConduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed or requestedRespond to and resolve client / construction concerns; Manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvalsRequired Qualifications and SkillsBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License required7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industryDemonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career pathKnowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam RevuAbility to mentor, train, motivate, and lead othersAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsStrong training and mentoring skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight staysThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.Why Join Us IMEG puts people first-with a strong focus on career growth, work-life balance, and meaningful impact.
