Equipment Optimization Planner - must have Port/Drayage experienceAtlas Marine, a subsidiary of Cargomatic, is seeking an experienced Equipment Optimization planner to join our growing team in Long Beach, CA! As an Equipment Optimization Planner, you'll be responsible for high-volume planning for the equipment in the market to meet customer demand. This position requires exceptional communication skills, proactive customer service abilities, and the capacity to problem-solve in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.What You'll Be DoingAccountable for containers on the street by statusDirect terminal appointment system strategy with automationStrong container inventory reconciliation expertiseEnsure that accessorial charges are properly applied based on customer SOP for accessorial billing (SRG, chassis days, bobtails, dry runs)Proven ability to manage equipment exceptions and reduce dwell timeBuild strong relationships with Cargomatic's owner-operators and carriers.Problem-solve and communicate any issues, delays, or concerns with shipments.Provide exceptional customer service to carriers and internal/external customers.Navigate Cargomatic's proprietary software to manage daily operations and loads.Perform operational/administrative responsibilities as needed.What We're Looking ForMinimum of 5 years of Port/Drayage Dispatcher experience required.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work with urgency.Strong knowledge of logistical concepts, supply chain terminology, and dispatch best practices.Ability to analyze complex situations and make productive decisions based on informed judgment.Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to overcome objections.Ability to multitask and prioritize daily tasks.Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.What's In It for YouCompetitive pay.Medical, dental, and vision benefits.401(k) company match.Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.Join a high-growth company redefining logistics and supply chain!Cargomatic is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
