By connecting with us, you position yourself for opportunities that align with what you're looking for.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines according to specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.Perform in-process and final inspection of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to optimize performance and maintain quality.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part quality.Conduct routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.Load and unload materials and parts, ensuring proper fixturing and material handling.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings, including GD&T.Demonstrated knowledge of G-code and M-code programming and editing.Skilled in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure part quality.Experience with tool selection, offsets, and basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.Bonus QualificationsAdvanced CAM software proficiency (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)Experience with CMM operation or programmingBasic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skillsProficiency in CAD software for design interpretation or minor modificationsJob Titles That Should ApplyCNC Machinist, CNC Operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Technician, Precision Machinist, CNC Machine Operator, CNC Setup Technician, Machinist, CNC Lathe Operator, CNC Mill Operator, Manufacturing MachinistWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
