The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical analysis and assessment, with highly effective written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities:As a member of the RPI Office Of Naval Research (ONR) Team, the Research Analyst will support the preparation and execution of a holistic ONR science and technology (S&T) strategy. In this role, the Research Analyst will:Produce written reports, project plans, briefings and staffing packagesPrepare study questions, perform analysis, and present findings to leadershipCoordinate meetings with multiple stakeholders Organize and lead small group projects or studiesBe able to work independently and within a teamQualifications & Skills: Active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibilityBachelor's degree and at least five (5) years hand's-on experienceStrong analytic and writing skills, with experience briefing senior leadersProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred:Master's degree in relevant program of studyExperience at US Navy or Marine Corps Major Command staff level, Combatant Command staff, Joint Staff, Office of Secretary of War staff, or similar level Department of War or national security staff Experience staffing decisions for major acquisition programs or technical projectsExpertise with electronic database searching and data analyticsKnowledge of S&T and research and development (R&D) portfoliosKnowledge of US Navy programming, requirements, and/or acquisition processes*EOE, including disability/vets
