Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its public finance, urban renewal, and municipal law practice. This role focuses on infrastructure financing, municipal governance, and public-sector legal matters serving cities, counties, and governmental entities across Iowa. Key Responsibilities Assist as bond, disclosure, or issuer's counsel on municipal bond transactionsDraft and review bond resolutions, official statements, and closing documentsSupport compliance with federal tax-exempt bond regulations and securities lawsManage due diligence and bond closingsAdvise municipalities on governance, open meetings, conflicts of interest, and statutory authorityDraft ordinances, policies, development agreements, and intergovernmental agreementsAssist with urban renewal plans, tax increment financing (TIF), and development incentivesAttend and provide legal support at council and board meetings Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Iowa Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly0-3 years of relevant legal experience preferredStrong legal research, writing, and communication skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesInterest in public finance, municipal law, and public-sector service Benefits Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefitsCollaborative team environmentExposure to public-sector and infrastructure-related legal matters
