This is the core of the business function and a starting point for all other positions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES• Perform tire work (primarily commercial). Mount and dismount, air pressure checks, balancing, tire rotation and flat repairs. Ensures lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.• Including proper receiving of product into location prior to putting away.• Ability to look up fluid volumes for tire size.• Assist with opening and closing of store, including EOD.• End of shift duties completed (cleaning, finishing work, manager approval).• Ensures that customer satisfaction and communication is of the utmost importance.• Facility maintenance and clean-up including but not limited to:o Sweeping, empty garbage canso Assist in organization of all tire and lube shop related supplies.o Parking lot cleaned of debit and/or garbage.o Warehouse Organization to include ensuring like tires are together, inventory is faced, rows are clean and tidy and help ensure the area stays safe for operating.o Maintains a high level of cleanliness of your workspace including bay areas, Commercial Tire Vehicles, and customer vehicles.• Shuttle and/or customer courtesy driver.• Assist with phone and counter duties as needed.• • Other duties as assigned, to include but not limited to retail tire work, lube bay, VIR reports and alignment checks.• COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:• Sales Skills• Detail Oriented• Efficiency• Customer Service• Mechanical Skills• QUALIFICATIONS - Unless indicated otherwise, these are required. Must be 18 years of age• Valid Driver's License and Insurable Driving Record.• Demonstrated desire for mechanical work.• Experience in a vehicle maintenance shop (preferred).• High school diploma equivalent (preferred)
