About the Role:The Parts & Accessories Specialist at Spend A Day Marina plays a critical role in ensuring that customers have access to the right parts and accessories to maintain and enhance their marine vessels. This position involves managing inventory, providing expert advice, and facilitating the timely procurement of parts to support both routine maintenance and emergency repairs. The specialist acts as a knowledgeable resource for customers, helping them identify the correct components and accessories that meet their specific needs. Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with suppliers and service teams to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Parts & Accessories Specialist contributes to the smooth operation of the marina by supporting vessel upkeep and enhancing the overall customer experience.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in retail or inventory management, preferably within the marine or automotive industry.Basic knowledge of marine vessel parts and accessories.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.Be able to lift up to 50lbs.Preferred Qualifications:Technical certification or training related to marine mechanics or parts management.Familiarity with marine vessel maintenance and repair processes.Customer service experience in a technical retail setting.Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and parts catalogs.Responsibilities:Manage and maintain inventory of marine parts and accessories, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely reordering.Assist customers by identifying and recommending appropriate parts and accessories based on their vessel type and maintenance requirements.Process orders, create purchase orders, handle returns, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to parts availability or quality.Collaborate with the service and maintenance teams to understand parts demand and support repair schedules effectively.Maintain detailed records of sales, inventory movements, and customer interactions to support operational efficiency and reporting.PHYSICAL DEMANDSUse the table / checklist below to indicate what is required of this position.
