Job DescriptionAs a Quality Control Technician with Trans Ova Genetics, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, consistency, and accuracy of laboratory testing that supports advanced reproductive technologies. In this hands-on role, you will perform routine quality control technical work, support quality assurance activities, and partner closely with IVF lab teams and Quality Representatives across multiple locations. RESPONSIBILITIESPerform routine quality control testing of media and supplies, following established QC and IVF protocols and procedures.Support IVF lab operations, including ovary aspiration, oocyte collection, and embryo evaluation as part of the laboratory workflow.Maintain accurate and complete records, including QC data collection, documentation, and data entry in designated systems.Administer the Equipment Quality Management Program in QT9, including new equipment entry and work order creation for all Trans Ova Genetic labs.Monitor equipment work order compliance and support annual IVF lab audits and compliance audits of QC Representatives.Maintain and update equipment-related and QC-related SOPs to ensure they are current, clear, and followed consistently.Collaborate with and help develop the skills of Quality Representatives at each IVF lab location to strengthen local quality practices.Prioritize and shift tasks quickly as new needs arise while maintaining a professional image reflective of Trans Ova's industry position and performing other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & ExperienceB.S. in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.Minimum of 1+ years of IVF laboratory experience; preference given to candidates with both fertilization and embryo-related skills.Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and high integrity in recording, analyzing, and reporting results.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software; experience with QT9 or similar systems is a plus.Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing lab needs in a fast-paced environment.Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsFrequent repetitive motions and continuous use of hands (e.g., pipetting, handling small laboratory tools).Ability to maintain prolonged focus while performing microscope-based analyses.Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to support IVF labs and Quality Representatives at various locations.About UsTrans Ova Genetics, a member of the URUS Group, provides industry-leading reproductive technologies and expertise to cattle breeders through a unique professional services team that works closely with clients to understand their breeding goals and ultimately help clients advance and extend superior genetics.
