This leadership role oversees accounting operations for approximately 3-4 dealership locations and is responsible for driving financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and supporting executive decision-making. The position requires a seasoned dealership accounting professional capable of managing multi-store reporting, developing accounting teams, and improving overall financial performance.Benefits include excellent career growth, long-term stability, competitive compensation, strong benefits, and a healthy work-life balance within a supportive, family-oriented environment, including an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), health/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off and holidays, professional development opportunities, and employee discounts on vehicles and services.Requirements of the Automotive Controller:• Prior experience managing accounting functions within a multi-rooftop automotive dealership environment• Minimum of 2+ years in an Automotive Controller role or 4+ years as an Assistant Controller within dealership operations• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred• Strong understanding of dealership financial statements, compliance expectations, and internal control practices• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform financial analysis and reporting• Proven experience monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities to improve dealership profitability• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities• Experience utilizing dealership management systems and automotive accounting platforms preferredResponsibilities of the Automotive Controller:• Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple dealership locations• Produce timely and accurate financial statements for executive and operational leadership review• Analyze revenue trends and cost drivers to identify risks and improvement opportunities• Supervise general ledger activity including bank reconciliations, manufacturer receivables/payables, reserves, and floor plan accounts• Recruit, mentor, and manage accounting personnel across assigned locations• Implement and maintain strong internal control processes to support compliance and audit readiness• Monitor closing cycles to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to reporting timelines• Support additional financial initiatives and administrative projects as required• Support as neededIf this sounds like you or someone you know, click Apply or share the job today!Disclaimer: By applying to a position at Vale Group, you consent to receive SMS text messages about this or related jobs.
