We are seeking a mid- to entry-level CNC Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift manufacturing team in Monee, IL. This is a TEMP-TO-HIRE position!This role involves operating CNC machines to fabricate parts. Responsibilities include loading parts into the machine, cycling the machine, and detecting malfunctions in parts. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with CNC programming and tooling, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.$22-$23 per hour DOE2nd shift: 2:30pm-1:00am Mon-Thurs4-day work week!Weekly paycheck!OT available!PTO accrual!Insurance available!Key Responsibilities:Operate a range of CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers with precision and efficiencyPerform all assigned machine shop operationsDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designeeMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety proceduresRegularly perform bending, milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding tasksPerform inspection of machined products, and document resultsComplete and maintain paperwork for partsRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to produce accurate partsSet up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and materials handling equipment when necessaryConduct routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensionsPerform preventative maintenance on CNC machines to minimize downtime and ensure consistent qualityCollaborate with quality control teams to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actionsMaintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards and factory protocolsAssist with fabrication tasks including welding, tooling adjustments, or assembly line support as neededSupport continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements for efficiency and qualityRequirements:Physical requirements include ability to operate machinery, lift up to 40 lbs, and stand on feet for most of the dayAdditional abilities include written and verbal communication, ability to read numbers, blueprints and measurements?CNC Experience (1-3 years)Previous experience in a manufacturing environmentProficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality controlBasic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurementsAbility to work on the 2nd shift schedule reliably in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsPreferred qualifications:High school diploma or GEDTechnical capacityExperience with tooling setup, materials handling equipment like forklifts, and fabrication processes including weldingHands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar is a plusIf you are passionate about manufacturing technology, committed to producing high-quality components, and eager to contribute your skills on the 2nd shift in a dynamic factory setting, we encourage you to apply today.
