Educational assistance and reimbursement available after a year of service. Finishing/Inspection OperatorThis position will be assigned to our Faircrest plant in the Billet Conditioning Department. The Conditioning Operator/Inspector operates and monitors charging, inspection, grinder, and saw pulpits and related equipment to process steel products to customer and internal specifications. This position performs visual, dimensional, ultrasonic, and spark testing to ensure product compliance and quality. The role also supports product identification, data entry/tracking, shipment preparation, and routine equipment maintenance.Employees in this position may be required to operate or use equipment such as: radio-controlled cranes (e.g., O.E.T.); mobile equipment; hoists; magnets; chains; pinch bars; inspection equipment; grinder and saw units; auxiliary equipment; optical character readers; ultrasonic testers and couplants; calipers, micrometers, and other precision inspection tools; hand grinders; stamp hammers; pallets/bolsters; and bands/wire and bundling tools.This position requires the ability to work a rotational and flexible shift, and may include holidays. Manufacturing work environment may include exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.On-the-job training is provided.
