SumBridge is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our client in the public accounting space. The Staff Accountant will have a variety of tasks that support the firm's client needs. Those tasks will involve, monthly accounting processes, payroll processing, financial reporting, and account reconciliation work. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills and experience within public accounting in a growing and dynamic firm. Job Responsibilities: • Accounting transaction recording• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management• Bank Reconciliation • Journal entry preparation• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures• Financial Statement Preparation • Payroll Processing • Sales Tax ReportingJob Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in accounting required• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting within a public accounting environment, preferably in Client Accounting Services • Demonstrated understanding of GAAP accounting processes• Self-starter who is focused on details and able to manage and prioritize assigned tasks• Must have working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Suite• Good organization skills and ability to communicate effectively• Relationship building with internal and external audiences
