We're looking for a Parts Room Clerk at Ross & Wallace Paper - are you ready to explore your career with us?The Parts Room Clerk is responsible for receiving and tracking MRO supplies within the facility. Ensure the correct material is received in the correct quantity and proper storage locations are recorded. Track and report errors, omissions, and damage of incoming freight. Perform cycle count and report errors of critical spares.This position reports to the Day Shift, which operates Monday through Thursday from 6:00am - 4:30pm in our Hammond, LA location. There are occasional needs to work additional hours and/or working on a Friday at the Manager's discretion. What you will do in this role:Support the Maintenance and Operations teams in looking up and ordering partsReceives orders, tools, parts, and checks them into the system via procurement processStocks parts in proper locationsPerforms cycle counts, daily inventories and helps maintain parts location integrityKeeps up 5S program as documented for the parts roomOther duties as assignedRequirementsWhat you will need to be successful:1-3 years of experience working at a Parts Counter, storeroom, tool crib, or parts roomPrevious purchasing and inventory experience a plusFamiliarity with mechanical parts and materials a plusMaintenance related experience a plusCMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills; detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-taskGood handwriting; legible penmanshipGood clerical skills (typing and filing)Excellent math skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Work Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb and/or sit for long periods of timeFrequent use of hands and fingers to grasp products.Ability to work at a rapid pace.Climbing and other consistent physical activity required.Pre-hire Employment:All offers of employment are conditional on the results of a successful criminal background check and drug screening which includes cannabis, regardless of any state-specific medical or recreational laws.
