Job Type Full-timeDescription Organization: Green Ivy SchoolsDivision: Pine Street School & Battery Park MontessoriLocation: New York, NYSector: FacilitiesPosition Type: Full TimeRESPONSIBILITIESGeneral: Assist in minor repairs to building and upkeep of groundsMake minor repairs and adjustments to items such as, furniture, plumbing fixtures, locks, light fixtures, electrical switches and receptacles, and building and door hardwareAble to identify and repair water leaksReplace light bulbsReplenish suppliesOperate various hand and power tools in completing assigned tasksKeep public areas, lobby, and waiting areas tidyMoving large and small items among classroom and campusesSupporting porters with emergency cleaningsAddress any unexpected messes or maintenance needs (e.g., leaks, stains, or broken items).Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment Communication & Safety: Communicate and document works in process and task completionCommunicate promptly with the Facilities Team regarding any maintenance issues that require attentionMaintain awareness of safety protocols, ensuring that exits and pathways are always clearEnsure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulationsBe visible and approachable to staff and students, providing a friendly and supportive presence.
