Our team is committed to delivering high-quality service and maintaining a strong culture of teamwork and growth all while getting to work in the amazing natural environment of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains!What You'll Do as a Lead Tree Climber:Trim and remove trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, or powered trimmer lift.Cut branches or trunk sections and drop or lower them safely to the ground.Utilize advanced rigging techniques to control large branches and trunk sections.Work with a crane operator for hazardous and large tree removals.Maintain positive customer and public relations, as well as strong working relationships with employees.Direct the crew when the crew lead is away from the job site.Take on a leadership role, making independent technical decisions about crew readiness and deployment.Stay up-to-date on new equipment, specifications, standards, and best practices.Train new employees on proper climbing and rigging techniques.Ensure safety in and around the work area for employees and the public.Perform regular inspection and maintenance of tools, trucks, and equipment.Safely operate company vehicles, including crew trucks, chip trucks, and medium-duty dump trucks, and be able to pull and back up trailers safely.What You Need to Succeed: Minimum of 4 years' experience working on a tree service crew. ISA or TCIA certification for Tree Climber Specialist (current). Extensive knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and arboricultural techniques. Understanding of ANSI Z133.1 safety standards for tree care operations. Advanced experience with rigging to lower large branches and trunk sections safely. Experience working with crane operators for complex tree removals. Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by the company's vehicle insurance policy. Experience driving and backing up trailers. Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with crew members and crane operators.Compensation & Schedule: Competitive Pay: Based on experience and skill level $40.00 - $55.00 per hour Full-Time Position: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pmWhy Join Us?
