Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the warehouse operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook Position Responsibilities/Objectives This is a safety-required position in which the employee is responsible for his or her own or other people's safety in a manufacturing environment. Safety performance and consciousness requires full, uninterrupted, unbiased, cognitive ability and behavior. Responsible for Food Safety Responsible for Food Quality Responsible for reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Work well and cooperate with other members of the line/department you work in and provide good teamwork. Be in the correct position on time and ready to work. Be sure to be present in proper uniforms with correct Personal Protective Equipment requirements. Compliance with individual performance objectives as established by Shipping/Receiving/Cold Storage Manager. Assist in regular physical inventories and daily cycle counts as requested or necessary. Comply with established safety requirements, GMPs, housekeeping and food safety responsibilities as outlined in section 1.0 and 1.1 above. Answer internal and external customer requests in a courteous and timely manner. Communicate frequently with Shipping Foreperson and Shipping Receiving/Cold Storage Manager concerning any issues regarding safety, product quality, and/or equipment. Accurately record and perform all inbound/outbound shipping office functions per established departmental procedures. Perform scheduling for all inbound/outbound transportation needs, which include but are not limited to LTL, truckload, inter-modal, air and small parcel; both domestic and international. Identify best method/carrier to ensure service and costs are optimal. Perform periodic network analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings. Perform carrier invoice auditing. Maintain, execute and implement Inbound and Outbound appointment and shipment log sheets by shift daily. Digitally store all department log sheets in an organized manner. Share daily shift log sheets with pre-established Management/Sales personnel. Maintain Bills of Lading in an orderly manner. Print invoices. Provide invoicing to proper DSD route. Maintain Security shipping entrances and exits. Maintain Shipping Dock's exterior and interior door assignments in an orderly manner. Maintain inbound drivers log for Homeland Security. Any other duty or responsibilities as determined by the Shipping Management. Work Station Responsibilities Employees must be working at all times and assist where help is needed. Employees are not to leave their workstation un-attended, unless approved by a supervisor Must keep stations clean and orderly at all times.
