Description Summary:Responsible for assisting with the day to day operation and direct supervision of assigned activities within the Housekeeping department. Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or employee challenges.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned Daily inspection of all assigned rooms and updating the front desk. Proper handling of guest request items on assigned floors. Daily inventory of linen closets for linen, amenities, chemicals and lost and found items. Ensure cleanliness and appearance of vending machine areas and guest elevator areas on assigned floors. Ensure cleanliness and appearance of assigned floor linen closets and service landings on a daily basis. Ensure cleanliness of fire escapes connecting the floors to other floors. Report maintenance problems to engineering on proper forms as well as coordination of special projects. Report damage or theft or room items to the Executive Housekeeper and Hotel Manager. Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members Performs other duties as assigned Position Requirements Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (all software components), payroll, and hotel information systems (LMS) The primary language spoken is English; ability to read, write, understand and speak English. Strong interpersonal skills Must be at least 21 years of age Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company Verify right to work in the United StatesWork Cards NonePhysical Requirements Frequently required to walk and stand for long periods Use hands to hold tools utilized for position Reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Work Environment Potential ConditionsThe work environment is characterized as a hotel setting requiring multi-tasking, where standard equipment will be supplied and used as a part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
