CDL A Delivery Driver Drive company trucks and assist with loading/unloading materials to meet or exceed customer expectations by delivering a positive and professional customer experience. Driving straight trucks or flatbeds Be familiar with the delivery territory and complete routes efficiently and accurately. Assist in the unloading and loading of materials and shipments Make timely deliveries while maintaining a friendly, helpful relationship with customers. Maintain professional image as a representative of the company. Secure all materials to prevent accidents, damage, and/or loss. Use care in the handling of all materials, products, and equipment. Accurately complete driver logs, including stops, hours of operation, and vehicle inspections. Adhere to federal, state, local driving laws and DOT and FMCSA regulations, such as pre-trip inspections and driver logs. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local driving laws and DOT and FMCSA regulations. Keep and use tarps on loads during poor weather conditions. Maintain vehicle fluid levels, air pressures, and vehicle cleanliness inside and out. Back up warehouse personnel Ability to drive safely and obey and adhere to applicable laws and regulations Effectively use GPS, cell phone and hands-free equipment while driving, read maps, and follow directions Effective communication, customer service, and stress management skills Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment Basic adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division skills with or without using a calculator High school diploma or equivalent; or Two years commercial driving experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
