Job Title: Manufacturing Technician 3rd ShiftJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Manufacturing Technician on the 3rd shift, where you will play a vital role in supporting the production and quality control testing of raw and processed materials for our Transplant Diagnostics business. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in kit production, large-scale manufacturing, and develop GMP skills. We welcome candidates with minimal relevant experience or those with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in science.Responsibilities Ensure quality assay manufacturing by adhering to standard procedures. Dispense biological reagents and prepare reagents and buffers. Print labels and label bottles, vials, and boxes. Package, seal, and scan assays. Perform production tasks on various product lines as needed. Safely store and monitor inventories, products, and in-house supplies. Set up and operate equipment of moderate complexity. Update raw material inventories and assist in processing final products. Prepare buffer solutions and maintain a safe work environment. Assist in developing, writing, and instituting necessary protocols. Solve problems that arise in the department. Efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Assist the supervisor in all aspects of the manufacturing processes. Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and processes. Adhere to assigned work schedules. Essential Skills Associate or Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience. Ability to consistently and independently follow policies, procedures, and instructions. Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and practices. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Organizational skills to maintain assigned work schedules. Ability to read, understand, and implement written laboratory procedures. Proficiency in handling and working with biological and chemical reagents. Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related field is preferred. Experience in GMP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environments is desirable. Experience operating automated equipment. Background in a manufacturing life science company. Biology or chemistry Background. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of the metric system and ability to perform conversions. Work EnvironmentYou will be working in a laboratory/cleanroom setting. The role requires adherence to specific procedures and policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. You will be trained on necessary protocols to ensure quality and compliance in all tasks.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of FREDERICK, MD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.05 - $22.05/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
