About the Role Reporting to the Company's Shift Supervisor, an exciting opportunity exists for a Material Handler to join the Syrah team based in Vidalia, Louisiana. This role is responsible for orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area. Duties and Responsibilities: Comply and ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines and regulations. Comply with quality policies & procedures to prevent contamination of product. Report all hazards, incidents, and near misses in line with Company policies and procedures. Confirm accuracy of material being delivered. Operate forklifts, 5K, 10k, and similar equipment as required. Confirm accuracy of material being pulled and delivered to production bays. Assist in the development of relevant processes and procedures. Address material shorts as requested by Material Control. Assist with material reconciliations at job closeouts as requested. Perform JSA's & Pre-Operation checklists daily as required. Comply with safety guidelines when operating a company vehicle. Safely operate any manual handling equipment required to perform responsibilities. Use proper stacking and pulling processes. Safely utilize ramp to load and unload materials. Assist in operations & maintenance activities when not loading/unloading material. Any other duties as reasonably directed by the Shift Supervisor. Report all issues to Shift Supervisor as soon as practicable to rectify in a timely manner. Experience: 1 Year of Forklift Experience Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment. Ability to work in a team environment and share information as required. Certification/Licenses: None specifically required. Demonstrated ability to act in a self-directed manner with no immediate supervision. Must be willing to work inside and outside in all-weather element as required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times daily unassisted, 75 lbs assisted, and push or pull 100 lbs. assisted; must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.
