Job Summary: The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing all safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and local regulations, and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety across warehouse and transportation operations. This role focuses on policy development, training, incident prevention, and fostering a strong safety culture. As a Safety Manager, You Will: Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and local safety regulations across all operations Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and prepare for audits and inspections including SQF standards Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures Enforce safe work practices within warehouse and transportation environments Ensure proper use and compliance of personal protective equipment (PPE) Conduct safety onboarding and ongoing training for warehouse staff and drivers Organize refresher courses, safety drills, and targeted training following incidents Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses and implement corrective actions Maintain accurate incident records and submit required compliance reports Perform regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards Monitor driver behavior and warehouse safety practices to prevent incidents Oversee inspection and maintenance of warehouse equipment and fleet vehicles Ensure all machinery and vehicles meet safety standards and remove unsafe equipment from service Track and analyze safety KPIs including incidents, violations, and compliance rates Prepare reports for leadership and recommend process improvements Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate incident response Promote a safety-first culture and encourage reporting of unsafe conditions Communicate safety expectations and updates across all teams Collaborate with operations, HR, and recruiting to align safety with business objectives Skills/Requirements: Experience in safety management within warehouse and/or transportation environments Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Certification in safety management preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Benefits: Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(K) Paid Time Off Career development opportunities Salary: $70K
