We are now seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our mission-driven dental team, helping us deliver exceptional oral health care that supports the overall well-being of our patients. Position Summary The Dental Hygienist is a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, working in close partnership with dentists, dental assistants, medical providers, and community health workers to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered oral health services. In this role, you will do more than clean teeth-you will be a trusted educator, advocate, and partner in our patients' overall health journey. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Take, process, and interpret dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations. • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and disease prevention tailored to their individual needs. • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care. • Maintain strict compliance with infection control protocols and OSHA standards. • Participate in community outreach events, school-based programs, and oral health education initiatives. • Monitor and maintain dental hygiene equipment and instruments, ensuring proper sterilization and functionality. • In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, you may be asked to perform other duties that are reasonably related to your role and consistent with your skills and experience to support team goals, respond to changing business needs, or address unforeseen challenges. Qualifications • Current state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. • Current CPR/BLS certification. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds. • Commitment to the mission and values of an FQHC, including serving underserved populations. • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/another language) preferred but not required. Physical Requirements & Technical Proficiency • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during patient care. • Manual dexterity to operate dental instruments and equipment. • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving equipment or supplies). • Proficient in using dental practice management software and electronic health records (e.g., Dentrix, or similar). • Skilled in digital radiography and intraoral camera use. • Familiarity with tele dentistry • platforms and remote patient education tools is a plus.
